The Rebirth of the Rebellious Spirit
The Grand Bohemian Orlando’s redesign is rooted in the revolutionary Vienna Secession Movement, an artistic rebellion that defied the conventions of its era. We drew inspiration from the movement’s defining features—its bold geometric forms, intricate patterns, and the harmonious blend of organic and stylized motifs. Our vision was to honor these historic influences while creating a space that feels undeniably modern.
A Reimagined Secession Movement
In bringing the Secession Movement’s rebellious essence to life within the Grand Bohemian, we carefully curated a blend of design elements that challenge convention. Patterns and shapes play against sleek lines and bold color blocks, creating a dynamic conversation between past and present. Neutral walls and carpet provide a versatile canvas, while rich textures, dark wood tones, antique brass, and black nickel finishes make striking visual statements. This palette evokes both refinement and intrigue, inviting guests to explore the unexpected. The juxtaposition of modern materials with classical motifs echoes the avant-garde spirit of the Secessionists, offering an experience that is as aesthetically engaging as it is thought-provoking.

Honoring the Secessionist Motto
The Grand Bohemian Orlando embodies the Secessionist motto, “Der Zeit ihre Kunst, Der Kunst ihre Freiheit” (To every age its art, to every art its freedom). This philosophy permeates every corner of the design, creating spaces that push boundaries while respecting tradition.By reimagining classic patterns and forms with a contemporary lens, the hotel invites guests to experience a unique sense of place—one that honors tradition without being bound by it. This design philosophy not only celebrates artistic freedom but also encourages visitors to engage with the timeless dialogue between history, art, and modernity.
