Salterra, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Debuts in South Caicos

The Luxury Collection’s newest addition, Salterra, has officially opened its doors on the tranquil shores of South Caicos, inviting guests to discover an immersive island experience unlike any other.
Designed by the Edge of Architecture firm, the resort is inspired by the island’s famed salt flats and tropical allure. The Brand Experience team at The Gettys Group was deeply inspired by the island’s natural beauty, heritage, and spirit. The brand is built around the salt of South Caicos — a mineral that balances, sustains, and cleanses — and every aspect of the guest journey is shaped by this elemental muse. From Himalayan salt block presentations at the restaurant to salt-infused spa rituals and a curated boutique of locally made products, the resort offers layered experiences designed to heighten the senses.
Salterra’s brand identity combines clean, contemporary typography with a color palette inspired by the hues found in South Caicos’ environment. Layered throughout is a dreamy, textured brand pattern derived from an aerial photograph of the island’s salinas.
"With Salterra, we set out to create more than a resort brand — we wanted to bottle the essence of South Caicos."
Ron Swidler CEO, The Gettys GroupBeyond indulgence, Salterra seeks to support and celebrate the local culture. Interiors incorporate native woods and sisal, the food program is helmed by local talent, and excursions are storytelling journeys guided by those who know the island best. The resort’s groundbreaking Coral Reef Adoption Program—developed with the School for Field Studies and local conservation partners—invites guests to participate directly in marine preservation while enjoying immersive eco-adventures in the protected Admiral Cockburn National Park.
The result is a refined yet raw luxury — buoyant, joyful, and deeply restorative. A place where nature wins out, and every detail floats just above the expected.
