Help Desk Intern

Position Summary


In this entry level opportunity, you’ll be responsible for providing first-level support to end-users on a variety of issues under the guidance of the IT Staff. This will involve responding to telephone calls, e-mails and then identifying, researching and resolving technical problems with Microsoft Windows related software and PC Hardware.




2-year degree or equivalent experience


Entry Level – 0-2 years of professional experience preferred

General Skills

  • 1 – 2 years’ Experience with Microsoft Windows 8/10
  • 1 – 2 years’ Experience with Microsoft Office (Specifically MS Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • 1 – 2 years’ Experience with setting up, configuring & troubleshooting PC & Laptop Hardware
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Networking
  • Apple Mac experience a plus
  • Troubleshooting experience with Printer\Copier Hardware
  • Solid understanding of conference room technology (projectors, A\V, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of Internet applications IE, Firefox, HTML and Internet protocols
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Reliable, enthusiastic individual with great phone etiquette
  • Professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.

Job Required Skills

  • Provide local and telephone technical support to end-users in our 2 offices as well as remote users, utilizing our Help Desk ticketing system
  • Deploy computers and peripherals (computers, monitors, printers, etc.)
  • Install software packages on PC’s and Laptops
  • Upgrade hardware on PC’s & Laptops
  • Create detailed documentation (instruction guides, policies, procedures, etc.)
  • Manage document library and inventory of assets
  • Support IT Staff
