Creative Project Manager

Position Summary


Reporting to the Director of Branding, the Creative Project Manager will take ownership of multiple internal and client-facing projects from start to finish, facilitating project tasks and liaising with the project team, clients and third-party vendors—and functioning as the hub of the project. They must possess strong leadership and collaboration skills to rally internal teams, keep things on track, and maintain enthusiasm.

The Creative Project Manager must be familiar with project scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

The ideal candidate has a background in graphic design, making them well-suited to manage the creative workload of our team of strategists and designers. As a member of our highly collaborative team, the Creative Project Manager should be willing and eager to acquire new skills, lending a hand to anything from market research and brand concept development to the development of design concepts and file production.




Bachelor’s degree (BA/BFA) from a four-year accredited college or university in Fine Arts, Graphic Design/Visual Communications


2-4 years of experience as a Project Manager within a creative agency environment, or similar relevant experience

  • Experience with Adobe Software: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Proficient Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with project management software, Smartsheet preferred
  • Experience with print and digital production processes a plus
  • Experience with motion design, video editing and photography a plus


  • Understand clients’ creative and business goals
  • Manage schedules, due dates and workflows for multiple projects simultaneously, often with urgent deadlines and flexible priorities
  • Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standard, on time and on budget, achieving clients’ creative and business objectives
  • Clearly communicate roles and responsibilities to team members and clients
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, communicating project schedule, scope, and priorities, and any changes thereof
  • Create and maintain project documentation: project plans, proposals, status reports, meeting notes, internal and external deliverable checklists, and change requests, vendor contracts, invoices and specifications, etc.
  • Manage project tasks by clearly setting expectations and milestones for clients and project team, and ensuring resource availability and allocation while providing adequate time for review and refinement ahead of key client presentations. Work closely with the project team to ensure that key project information is available and expectations are clearly outlined.
  • Schedule and attend regular check-ins with the project team to ensure work remains on track
  • Demonstrate long term thinking, identifying and managing risks that could affect the scope, schedule, or health of the project. Provide solutions to any potential risks, escalating any issues to Director as needed
  • Work closely with Director of Branding, reporting weekly progress on all projects, requesting assistance/advice as needed, and collaboratively solving any project-related issues
  • Possess the ability to work quickly, independently and with a can-do attitude
  • Maintain a high standard of design quality, customer service and professionalism
  • Continue to refine and enhance the team’s process and deliverables
  • Elevate the creative level of the work coming out of the company
  • Travel as needed on a per-project basis
