Innovation through Collaboration
The H.O.T. Project is an innovative think-tank led by Gettys and Hospitality Design Magazine where industry leaders come together to anticipate the future of hospitality and define the business solutions that will advance our industry.
From year to year, H.O.T. collaborations consist of in-person and on-line engagements among participants. No matter what the format, the goal is to keep the spirit of innovation through collaboration alive.
H.O.T. 2007
Hosted by Gettys and Hospitality Design Magazine, H.O.T. 2007 took place in New York at the Parsons New School for Design. The participating group was made up of representatives of 40 companies from all corners of the hospitality industry.
Taking two days to collaborate, the group tackled the future of sustainability; considering the global needs of the future as well as the guest experience.
How can hotel design and operations, through sustainable applications and new technologies, change forever? The team came up with some interesting answers that blew away what are currently standard design and operations.
