Guangzhou, the Port of the Pearl River, is also known by its English name: Canton. This city boasts a subtropical climate, was the capital of China for three dynasties and features among the richest histories in China, making it an incredible destination for our inspired designers.

Guangdong Museum of Folk Handcraft

This amazing museum so inspired our designers, that local art became the nucleus of the inspiration for our work at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. The museum has a brilliant collection of historical materials as well as artworks, crafts and works of famous modern artists. - With donations from personal collections of eminent historians and art collectors, the museum has now over 15,000 pieces of cultural relics with over 300 being first-class cultural items. Most collections are Guangdong folk art works and handicrafts from the Ming Dynasty to the modern times.

Pearl River Dinner Cruise

Located at Dashatou Pier, Tianzi Pier or Xiti Pier, a dinner along the sparkling downtown skyline is always a welcome treat and a great way to experience the Pearl River, including a light show at Bai-E-Tan.
